Hi,
I was wondering if its possible to hide my Adultwork profile from general public/non members? Ive been having problems for nearly two months now from a female who is contacting me from fake profiles to my personal facebook account.

Im getting threats, abuse & name calling & this person knows im on adultwork & tells me they have read my profile & looked through my gallery photos & they are going to tell my family & friends what i do.

The messages i get go to my "other messages" box & not to my inbox as my settings are set to "friends only".
Ive don't reply to these messages & ive blocked & reported the fake profiles they use everytime i get a message. But they just set up another fake account & contact me again.
Ive sat & thought about who this person could be as nobody knows im on adultwork as far as im aware but obviously this person does

I don't have any enemies as far as i know & obviously it is someone that as seen me on facebook & somehow recognized me on adultwork even under a different name.

The messages are really hateful & threatening.
I have thought about closing my facebook account but then id lose contact with several friends who don't live nearby. Also this person will think they have won. They can still read my adultwork profile which they often do as they tell me what ive wrote & that im scum for sleeping with married men? (I don't know if any are married & its not my business to ask.)

Ive tried to find a way to trace the IP address of this person but i don't know how.
This person clearly hates me & wants to cause me problems & give me as much grief as possible.
It bothers me that i don't know who it is & im starting to avoid my friends incase its one of them. Im always discrete & tell nobody anything. I don't have many visitors to my home as i only do two or three adultwork bookings a week. Im not sure what to do or even why this person is doing this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry you are going through this ((hugs)). Its entirely possible that this could be a jealous wife orpartner who has found your feedback on her blokes page snd decided to find you out. It's exceptionally hard to do i know, but i would sit this out and try not to lose your head. At some point people WILL find out about your aw, and you cant delete your account and lose all your feedback everytime it happens. Im assuming this is your main income? Even more reason to stick to your guns. It's unlikely this person has any real info on you so call their bluff x

Thankyou for your reply. What concerns me is im not in search results on facebook & im under my real name so anybody that doesn't know me wouldn't be able to find me if they tried. Ive even searched for myself to see if i come up in search results & i don't.
I can't think why anybody would hate me as much as this person does. In some messages they call me by my user name on adultwork & say my family would be ashamed of me & they wonder what my son would think of me if he knew?

Im a part-time hairdresser but the money i get from this job alone doesn't pay for all my outgoings so i started out as a escort last november. Ive never had any problems with anyone on adultwork & i don't think this person is a member so i don't like the fact my profile is publicly viewable. Just wish they was a way to hide my profile from public view & only members be able to view it.
Im not a bad person & i don't go out of my way to upset people so i can't understand why this person is contacting me.

Ive tried to ignore them & not let the messages get to me but its starting to play on my mind as its been two months & this could be anybody.
I sometimes think i should tell my son what i do, he is 14 & he is my main concern because he as just lost his dad & he doesn't need to hear things about me
I would struggle without another income if i delete my adultwork profile.

As Katie said, I doubt they have any real info on you. You mentioned this has been going on for a couple of months, so if they wanted to blackmail you for something/just expose you, I imagine they would have done it by now...? Seems they have put a lot of time into threatening you with 'info' without actually doing anything with that 'info'... what they will be getting out of it is knowing it is upsetting you. I would stick to your guns, it's probably a disgruntled punter/wife of a punter who is getting their kicks sending you hateful messages.
