Difficulty cumming with a condom
#11
With regards to the snip, isn't it easier for a man to have it reversed than a woman and an easier procedure, therefore safer?

Personally I would expect to use condoms within a relationship when it is new. The clinic recommend around 6 months, but in all fairness it should be until you decide if you would be happy to have a child with that person should there be an unexpected pregnancy. The pill is good, but it is not perfect and if like me you have a bad memory (I usually forget to take it 1 or 2 times a month) then it is always a slight risk not using any other form of prevention.

Having said that, I don't think you should have the snip unless you are with someone that you believe you are going to spend the rest of your life with either, as it's not like you can get it reversed on a whim and it is another operation that is not 100% successful.

Let's face it, condoms are a necessary evil and should be used and it is good news that the younger clients are more comfortable with them, as it means they are actually using them.

It's not always as simple as that Zoe. I have entertained men who have had surgery that have left them unable to get hard with or without a condom and the mind is a very complex thing. You can literally stop something happening by worrying about it too much.

For instance I was 31 before I had my first orgasm. I convinced myself I needed to pee when really I was approaching orgasm, but because I didn't know that I would stop and go to the toilet and never actually reach orgasm.

then a few years later when I did finally have an orgasm I was celebate for 3 years after and it took me a year to orgasm with a man again, as I had become dependent on my toys and could not relax with a man. Some of the sex was amazing, but I could not relax enough to let it happen.

Over the years I have seen quite a few men with diabetes that because of there condition would struggle to get hard never mind stay that way and needed constant stimulation the second that stopped to apply a condom they would go soft.

They always left smiling though.

I don't disagree with what has been said in response to this thread and, yes, it probably is an age thing, in more senses than one! I for one wouldn't think of having penetrative sex without a condom but it still doesn't alter the fact that I and, it would seem, other men have difficulty when wearing one. In response to the comment on it being not just about "the wily and fanny" I love stimulative foreplay, especially oral (kissing, breasts, clitoris, anywhere that can be orally stimulated) which is why I pose the question to include masturbation. Thanks anyway for the replies.

Yep all sorts of medical conditions can stop a hard on. I was once told that the cock is more sensitive when it is flacid, so I always put as much gusto into a bj when it is flacid as when it is hard and they don't have a problem cumming, although it is harder to predict Undecided

Until someone invents a gadget that can zap all the germs and diseases prior to having sex (like a little killer Star Trek scanner) and makes you both sterile/clean, then we're stuck with condoms. Some guys reckon experimenting with different brands/types of condoms helps - the GUM clinic have lots of choice.
Has anyone ever used the female condoms? I know when they first came out, it was said that it felt like making love to a plastic bag! I wonder if they've improved? Would you use one?

I have tried them and it felt very strange and yes if anything it blocked my sensitivity more, so God knows what it is like for the guy. The only plus is that you can put them on prior to sex so you can be more impulsive.

Ive noticed on some escorts profiles they say they offer female condom so it makes it feel like youre having bareback sex. I thought wtf? id rather use a condom at least then it doesnt feel like im diving into a wet jiffy bag. But for them to say that on their profile just goes to show some men prefer them, myself though... prefer a wank, by far, very far, out of this galaxy and all that, ha.

I have tried them with an escort and, once you are in, they are great. I do sometimes go soft with a condom (but not always) and can definitely recommend the femidom. It is a bit of a faff and wouldnt look good on video but otherwise great Big Grin
