Good business sense

Lets rattle a few cages . Would it not be a good idea that when you working girls go for a check up at the gum clinic and they give you the all clear --- that you advertise such on your updated profile ????
Calm down, think about it , would it not make really good business sense?

Yes.

It's not relevant nor workable.

How could you be sure?No one is going to publicise a positive result now are they?SPs could just make it up, or get someone to attend on their behalf.

Add to this the fact that a clean STD result is only a snap shot on the day, at the exact moment they took the samples. Some STDs also take time to incubate and be detected, so I do not think they are relevant.

A clean STD test 'certificate' could also encourage clients to try for bareback, or at least lull them into a false sense of security. Lots of men already think because they pass their GPs general health check, and haven't slept around that much that they must be 'clean'. It only takes one in the chain.

In my opinion it's a nice idea but not workable. Far better to only partake in activities which fit with your own acceptable level of risk, and make sure you get yourself checked regularly.

Yes you are an idiot...

Test results are only relevant to the person that got it on the day they got it, no one else. Some of the possible nasties you can catch don't show up on tests straight away which is why you are recommend to go every 12 weeks.

Test results that say you were "clean" a week ago mean absolutely nothing if you've had sex every day since and you're fooling yourself if you think something like that would make you feel better somehow?

We get tested for ourselves not you! If you are worried get yourself tested. Do you?

Thank you ladies very sensible and detailed answers. I may dispute Jem's first comment , but I have been called worse. Have a nice night and enjoy Prisoners' Wives on the telly.

Smith, i wont mention names, but theres a lady on adultwork who says she will do bb, as long as the person has a certifcate showing they are clean. As Jem says, the certificate could be given, then he could go straight out of there and pick something up. Ive turned down 2 clients that have seen her, I always check feedback.

Ive lost count of how many checks ive had, and not once have i been offered a certificate... do you have to ask for them does anyone know?

I may be wrong britishmilf but I think at NHS gum clinics you have to ask and pay for the certificate x

Trouble is... because some STIs have an incubation period, you are only as good as two weeks before your most recent test.

My clinic doesn't give me the results for a week, so by the time I get them they are already three weeks out of date by which time I will have seen quite a few more guys... so from a "peace of mind for the guys" point of view it is useless.

If a girl offers bareback, I suppose it would be reassuring to see that at least she's aware of the need for regular tests, even if they are no guarantee that she's clean. However, IIRC, Adultwork have placed restrictions on the promotion of bareback: it can be put on the "likes" list, but otherwise not mentioned.

For those who don't offer BB, would there be much point? How many STI's are a significant risk if condoms are used? Oral-to-genital transmission of herpes, pubic lice... ?

Herpes, gonorrhea, chlamydia can be passed and carried orally.
