Ahhhh.... I think if there is just one forum to stay on, it's probably this one!

I'm kind of thinking of quitting all the guy dominated forums I'm on... I'm not sure what I get out of them other than killing a bit of time between bookings! But I like this one these days... it has become very provider dominated over the last year or so, which is nice to have, I think.

Me too Katy. Which is gutting bc I really love browsing, sharing, and chatting. But you can never really be sure who is watching what you say, or who is what they say they are. If you do choose to stay on forums you just have to accept you can't be too open or trusting x

Too true, I was horrified to find some posts that I had made on a computer techie forum were appearing on google. I was left wide open to hackers, my ip, e mail and more. I am very wary of anything I say in forums now.

Forums can be mind of info, but god they can get bitchy at times too!
I dont talk to anyone really about my job apart from you lot...........its not the most social of jobs.

I think am the same as you peeps perhaps more so with lollycoxx. Am very wary of folk, I don’t talk what I do outside the industry, not even to my husband.
I enjoy the discussions on here; really to me it’s a community where single minded people with a common goal. I like the way, when people have a problem others will step in and give a help handling hand. You don’t necessarily find that in other industries.
That’s the long and short of it for me.

That's for sure.

I have a small number of people outside of the industry I can talk to, but they really don't understand... unless you do it, I don't think you can understand? So they are no use for help or advice, and it's not even easy to just "vent" because they can't even empathise.

I have a few industry friends in real life, but we don't seem to see much of each other socially really... they are often a long way away... so it can be more like having occasional work colleagues than anything else sometimes.
