Following on from another thread where people were expressing dismay at the fact that a google search for "live webcam girls" didn't return Adultwork on any of the first five pages, I noticed that a search for "Escorts in the UK" had similarly dismal results.
So how come it is so well used?
Is the secret of it's success the fact that it is not easy to happen across it?
What I mean is... the vast vast majority of people searching for those kinds of things are almost certainly wishful thinkers and time wasters anyway, so maybe the fact that AW is not highly rated on the web under what to my mind are a couple of very typical searches keep the idle curious away? Perhaps the fact that you actually have to do a bit of work to find the site means that although the traffic may be less, the quality of the traffic it does get is possibly much higher?
I say this because personally, I now use Adultwork as my only form of advertising. I have advertised in other places in the past and found that on the whole they have been pretty ineffective, despite having higher traffic. I am very busy at the moment and have been for some considerable time. Although it is true that I do get pestered by idiots and time wasters from time to time, the vast majority of contacts I get from AW do actually translate in bookings.
So maybe it's not a bad thing that it is the worst kept secret on the web?
When ever there is a story in the press about an school teacher moonlighting as an escort, who gets in the papers? Adultwork. When you look on all the forums for guys and they are talking about the girls they have seen and the girls they want to see, where are they talking about? Adultwork.
Maybe Adultwork is a serious site for serious people who are looking to be parted from their money, where as some of the other sites may have higher traffic, but most of it is redundant?
Give me 1 view from a serious guy interested in paying actual hard cash rather than 1000 views from bored horny teenagers any day of the week.
