The new Sunday Sport is back on the news agents shelves today, after going into administration and been rescued by it's original owner David Sullivan.

I noticed that when i went to the local garage for my sunday paper, they had someone from a soap in a white blouse on the cover, seems like they have never been away.

You would think David Sullivan had enough to do with his money tied up in West Ham, to consider trying to raise a dead newspaper.

I have advertised with them for over 9 years and was devastated when they went into administration, to be honest it was probably about 80% of my bookings the internet to me at the time was just a bonus a little side line I suppose.

It was quite expensive to advertise with them £30 per day for a 3 line advert but it paid for its self threefold so I think David Sullivan has made a very wise decision in buying it back. If you look at the number of escort ads never mind the phone chat ads etc along with the actual revenue sales of the paper and bearing in mind he is only employing 8 members of staff at the minute a very wise business decision.

I do sometimes wonder if my location makes it worthwhile, but at the same time I know I am missing out on potential work from Birmingham and Gloucester, as I don't show up in their searches and yet am only around half an hour away from both.

Definately Kate I have lived of the sport for over nine years, guys using the internet think it is the only way forward and yes I can see where they are coming from there are pics etc, but you also have to look at it from another point of view, not every bloke has internet access or if he has is not comfortable with accessing adult sites incase he is found out,sex is a very off the cuff spur of the moment thing , guys wake up in the morning and basically think i need a shag and dont have time to trawl the net so how are they going to find it. They pick up a paper and phone a few numbers in there area and hey presto. so you could actually be cutting of a huge customer base especially if you are touring men look for a new name and number and your phone will ring like mad.

The one thing I will say you learn with experience with it there are days when your phone rings constantly when I moved to Halifax I had a half hour appointment and when I looked at my phone there was 34 missed calls yes some were duplicates but be prepared for total timewasters and arseholes and brace yourself for the requests you get but after a while you learn to suss them out very quicky try it once if it doesnt work for you at least you have tried I have met some absolutly fantastic guy from it that have turned into being once a week regulars

Definately for so many reasons you have to be in the right mind set to cope with the calls and I am not kidding but depending on your area your phone can ring up to 70,80 90 times a day and I am not exagerating when I first moved down here I had a bloke book an ahalf hour appointment once he left and I looked at my phone I had 35 midded calls. pm me hun if I am available if you give me a ring I will give you though down on newspaper advertising x

Right girls Do NOT go for a box advert for one thing it is so much more expensive stick to being basic, you need a 3 line ad to sell yourself I read so many ads and cringe you have to make it personal and appealing something that a bloke would feel comfortable in reading and comfortable in speaking to you and ringing you,
