Now my profile has been removed??
#1
Hi,

I started a thread earlier asking about my verification photo, which was saying it had been accepted, but my profile wasn't showing as verified.

Now my profile has been removed, with no reason given. I know I haven't broken any rule, and I uploaded ID and a verification photo several times.

I had the best part of 100 credits on there, it seems unfair I can be removed for what appears to be no reason. Can anyone help?

Thank You

... further to this, I got a reply from AW saying...

We have received a number of member complaints that you would appear to
already have a profile on the site. AdultWork.co.uk endeavours to protect
the integrity of the Site to benefit all the members and in line with the
Terms of Use we have had no alternative other than to remove your profile.

I do not have another profile, and never have. I sent verification ID and a photo that was accepted. How can I get my profile reinstated and my credits back? It seems unfair that I can lose out when they are clearly wrong.

Thanks

As you mention it "appears" there is no problem but then again there must be otherwise we wouldnt be in this situation.

I would contact AW in the normal manner here http://adultworkforum.com/forum/thread-1917.html

Fill out your details and let them know your current profile "XXXXXX" has been de-activated, then ask for the username of the other profile that is conflicting with yours.

The matter should be easily fixed if the other profile isnt of you/yours.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks

Thank you so much for replying.
I have had a reply from adultwork, giving the name of the profile that is using my pictures and videos.
I am going to sound like an utter idiot now, but here is what happened...

A few weeks ago I was offered some adult video work. I naively did it, no questions asked. They took a copy of my ID and created a page on adultwork with it. I NEVER gave them permission to put it on AW, and feel they have used my ID fraudulently. I know...I was a fool!!
I have taken a picture of me with a sign clearly stating this other profile is not mine, but I don't know where to send it as I can't log into AW. Any ideas?

Thanks again

This just gets worse!

Adultwork are now saying that I have to ask the group manager to remove this fake profile????

I never joined a group, I never gave permission for this fake profile to be created! Plus, how can I contact the group manager, when my genuine profile has been removed.

Any advice would be appreciated. I think I could cry lol

AW can probably give you the email of the group manager. I would start by getting the contract you may have signed when doing the adult work as they may have legal rights over your content.

Once you have the contract, check it over for details of ownership of the material. The chances are you have signed away your rights. In this case I would contact the company/person you done the work for and come to an agreement of some kind. They may ask for your pay/wage back in exchange for removal of the profile.

This seems absurd

Whilst you may have signed away rights to your content that does not mean you signed away rights to your life persona. The profile is not yours and therefore should not exist as you. If somebody has a right to use your content then they should use it in the correct manner within Adultwork and Adultwork should respect that you are not the same as the "fake" profile created by the owner of the content.

If the profile is offering any service this gets even more riduculous, as you are not going to provide the service being paid for, so who is?

Hope you get it sorted out

Thank you for all the advice.

It was just a stupid situation. AW kept saying as I had " Employed " someone to manage my profile, I had to sort it out with the group manager. They didn't seem to get that I had NOTHING at all to do with the profile.
As I was getting no where I contacted a very trusted policeman friend, who gave me some wording to send to AW, as he felt it was fraud by false representation ( I think?? ). As soon as I mentioned the Police AW backed down and removed the fake profile and reinstated mine, with all credits. They have also finally verified my profile. ( Although they did state that should the fake profile produce a signed contract, it would be reinstated on a content only basis. So lets hope they don't fake a contract! )

The strangest thing about the fake profile was that it advertised escorting services in Swansea. ( I don't escort and I'm in the Midlands ) There was also feedback from satisfied clients. Bizarre!!! There was one other girls profile in the group, so I hope see isn't being scammed!

Not the best start to my AW career, but finally all sorted.

Thanks so much for all the help.

Glad you got it sorted out, but the above still seems bizarre.

Even if they have a contract signed by you for the content, they can not impersonate you and pretend that it is you selling that content, nor can they advertise you as working as an escort. This would have horendous consequences for porn stars / models who may then be advertised as offering escort services that did not.

They can act as their own identity / business and sell that content if they have a right to do so as a producer.
