Nearly everyone who runs a appointment system cannot manage to keep them
I think it might be the case of trying to squeeze to much in
Dentists 30mins
Docters 45mins
Soliciter 1hr nearly gave up and started charging them

As a sales rep if I have an appointment I will always be early for it.
If its a very important appointment I have been known to be up to 40 minutes early, lol.
If I am running late for whatever reason I will always call and let the person waiting for me know. Its common courtesy and with mobile phones there really isnt much excuse.

Oh the early one, oh god do i hate them, appointments are so that you will be taken at the time of the booking. Not 15 mins early - esp if they have been told i have a prior booking - and not 15 mins late. Ok we can run over a little but im one for being punctual. If I'm early for an appointment I wouldnt expect to be taken early - nice if it happens but happens very rarely.
Doctors isnt too bad. Dentist is the worst. If I've nowt else on I will wait but if I have something else to do I will simply tell dental receptionist that I have another appointment and I won't wait.
If someone can't turn up on time then they aint gonna get my custom. Simples.

Everyone is incompetent these days. People in mainstream jobs are rarely given full training or the training is rushed through, so they don't confidently know their product or trade and time pressure is on everyone, so you end up being way too early or way too late. It really frustrates me that deliveries are given a full day window with no guarantee these days. I had to wait 3 days for my orange broadband to arrive and each day they just said, it will arrive tomorrow. I'm not sure my clients were too impressed when I had to tell them that we might be interrupted by a delivery and each time I had to wait until late before going home and even up to 10pm one night when I was assured the delivery could still come, despite the office shutting at 9pm, so I could not rant when it did not arrive!!!
Clients on the whole tend to be early with me and catch me out, so I'm either minus my shoes or corset or half my make-up done. I try and be ready 15 mins early if I can, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Yep I'm the same Kate, I simply don't answer the phone if they call 15 mins before the booking is due to start unless it is the last booking of the day and i'm wanting to get away. I will let them call a couple of times before I answer their call and remind them when they come in what time their booking was due to start.

Displeased Emily ..................... I would have wanted to kill him. ROFL. Can you tell I'm short tempered with bad timekeepers.
I was never that late for anything and that was organising myself AND FOUR CHILDREN.

Sounds like a Soho walk up
Having said that was the client early or the last running late?
So the problem is, what is a girl to do?
Your last client is running 10-15 minutes late and the next turns up 10 minutes early, like all things in life how do you do a balancing act? After all, it is not like you usually try and keep the punter longer than needed.
Do you refuse a client who is late? What happens should the next not turn up? I turned down a 30 minute extension on a booking on Monday due to having another guy turning up, or at least that is what I told him, reminded me of the guy Kate (I think) had in, glad to get rid of him. Had he not stank etc I may have taken the chance, money in the hand is better than a promise.
I had a guy turn up an hour early in Southampton on Monday, he also had a strange story which I should post on another thread.

Bit of a timekeeping Nazi I'm afraid. I find it intolerable, especially if they don't bother to update me if they are likely to be running late and I'm left twiddling my thumbs.
