To be honest I never take any notice of the ratings most of the time I totally forget about them

I would agree that rating a thread seems a waste of time. If I am interested I will read it, if not then I wont. Simple as that. Thank you Ann for bringing up the question though as I did wonder but was too idle to ask!!

have to agree the thread rating is a bit like the thanks and reps it can be manipulated to make some threads look really starry
