why do u use forums

I landed up here cos I was booted off the forum I was on. It was a gentlemen's forum that allowed ladies, but they cooked up some conspiracy theory and kicked a load of people off.

I joined that forum, as being new to the industry I wanted to understand my market. It was very interesting, but didn't really reflect the type of people I see... so wasn't hugely useful.

The guys on here are much more my cup of tea and even if we never meet, it's good to get another perspective, meet other girls and have a bit of a chinwag!

For me its the chance to sound of and chat about thing that being in this industry it is very difficult to find like minded people in your own circle of friends that you can chat and discuss things with it can sometimes be a very lonely and isolated life that we lead and if it was not for places like this our thoughts and feelings and emotions would start to eat us up with no where to vent which is not always a healthy combination.

It has also given me the opportunity to talk to and meet some fantastic people and most of all on places especially here and another couple of forums that I am on people do not judge they just accept

why do you come here?

I like forums as they replace the "colleagues" I miss from having.."a real job" lol

I use other non adult industry forums too. I live at my laptop so its good to keep the mind active and busy

It's also nice to be able to speak to people who can relate to what I do I very much live in a bubble otherwise

i have a few pro's & con's with forums

first joined a south east punting forum just over 2 yr ago along with a cpl of others found them ok to start with, then them turning a bit cliquey & territorial with the guys from the forum like why are they coming to scotland to meet u when there are plenty women local to them on there blah blah, they got told diplomatically by pm to go fuck themselves

i detest seeing jealousy on any forum, the profession is isolating enough without cat fighting & attention seeking between the women, when u come face to face in realtime with it makes u realise how pathetic these women look

i stopped posting on a few of the forums as when u read some of the womens posts u wanted to slit your wrists, things like will any of u guys book me tonight cause nobody has booked me for over 2 weeks i mean wtf others i cant afford to feed myself will any guys help me, im quite a blunt person & answered a post by telling them to get a grip it was meant for them to take a look at themselves, turned me completely off posting on them again

the other thing that used to annoy the fuck out of me from a few of those was the 'bbw' debate started by a bbw, eg no one wants me cause im big etc ... me using my usual tact told them if it were that big a problem get off your ass stop stuffing your face & do something about it instead of looking for pity, yeah im a fat burd myself but my enthusiasm my lust my sexual appetite how much i enjoy what i do my personality means i always have steady work

when i got the tweet saying they had revamped the forum, i thought right give it another chance hmmm it hardly had a post out of 1400 odd members wasnt even 100 posts watched it for couple of days then thought fuck it

decided i would go on a posting frenzy posting as many topics as i could hoping for replies more so that a few might get pissed off seeing me posting all the time also thought will have the forum as friendly as possible with no bitchiness if i could, trying to encourage others to post so have to thank emily, kenny & kate who helped me build it up

I've posted on forums and prior to those, bulletin boards since the 80's.
Sex or punting forums about 5 years or so. I've always had a libertarian attitude to personal freedom and consensual sexual behaviour, so it provided an outlet for discussion amongst like minded people.

I have to agree with lolo, some have become battle grounds for rivalry and distrust.
Lord knows there is enough hatred and prejudice from society about P4P (paying for pleasure) and those that offer and use the service, without infighting.

The sisterhood has shown its best and worst sides on these forums, and its made me despair at times. This job can be uniquely isolating, let alone dangerous, treating each other with contempt just reinforces the casual observers tabloid inspired prejudice.

The same goes for those punters on forums who sneer and look down their noses at anyone who shows a modicum of respect towards providers and the work they do.

A friendly forum is a comfortable and welcoming place, and I get more laughter than angst from belonging to them. But they really are the sum of all who contribute, and there in lies their strength and their weakness.
