i think partly because a lot of us are other marginalised(women of colour, trans women, people with mental illness, or just generally poor) so don't feel like we get as much back for it. we've been made "exempt" from a lot of the positive things in life in the first place.
it's a good point that this is more convenient work for a lot of people and others have to suffer much more taken from them, but at the same time you can understand why people are upset if it means they're ultimately making a lot less money. some of us only have a limited amount of time we're able to work in the first place which is why we're doing this.
