I was talking psychiatrists (sorry, should have specified!) - Who are generally in the know as that is their job!
You're right David... GP's do tend to reel it off verbatim (unless they specialise in psychological conditions). Either way it'll be down to the Doc which drug he/she thinks is appropriate for you - depending on other medical conditions, other medications, etc etc.
