Threat received by an alleged police officer - Crazymarauder - 24-11-2016

Hello everyone and sorry but I was threatened by a man that is alleging to be a police officer, he is saying that if I dont go out with him he will deport me or send me to jail because im doing prostitution and here is ilegal that,

my background, Im brazilian and im just here for a few weeks, my status here in UK is legal since Im a tourist and decided to do this to recover some money for this vacation, what can I do?? what can I tell him to stop bothering me? can he actually do something against me??

I'm sorry this has happened to you. I can't imagine how you must be feeling.

I don't really know about any legal implications, such as working whilst on vacation etc. However some men get their kicks out of saying some really awful things and even trying to scare us ladies. My guess is that's exactly what this person is doing. If he really was a police officer I doubt very much he would be making threats like this as he would be in trouble himself as you would have proof of harassment.

Try not to worry too much and report and block him.

Big hugs xxx

thank you very much for your support!! the thing is, he found me in a brazilian group in facebook, he started texting me normal to go out to show me the city and things like that, after a few days he found out that I was escorting and sent me photos of my ad and profile of AW, it was then when the threat started, and in his profile photo he has a police man badge, it is certainly something really weird, I thought too that it can be true a police officer here in the UK can be doing such thing, I mean in Brazil yes it could happen but here?? how?? I feel terrible, and I dont know where to report it and how because im foreign.. can you suggest me a place or a web page that I can report this??
many thanks again for your support I really appreciate and sorry my english is not the best

Isn't working in the UK as a tourist illegal anyway?

yes I am aware of that, but in case I was not, what could I do? report it to police?

It wouldn't be wise reporting it to the police if you're doing something illegal too.

whats the worst case scenario? if I already stopped doing escorting? im a genuine tourist and I report to police, I have the threats in my phone and I can show it to a REAL police officer? I have my flight ticket back to Brazil all paid and real it can be checked and everything.. im not here to stay or something like that and the idiot didnt find me doing that he just found out when he saw my ad which I have already taken off the site

Just ignore him then, if you're leaving the country and he knows nothing about you then what's the big problem?

nobody deserves to be feeling the way I am feeling now.. he threattened me and I am a woman, and to be in a country where nobody knows you, nobody supports you and cannot do ANYTHING is just the worst thing.. that is the BIG problem, it is just not fair

Of course it's not fair and not acceptable, but it's a catch 22 situation where he's acting illegally while you are also behaving illegally.

Best thing to do is ignore him. Block his number, block his email, have no contact with him at all.

Edited to add - the only thing you're doing which is illegal is working in the UK without a work permit. Prostitution is legal in the UK.
