Ridiculous! There are plenty of people returning to study or first time "mature" learners - curiousity and ambition to learn new things and indulge your intellectual side is a wonderful thing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Plus I think coming to education a little later in life can be a benefit, in terms of your general perspective and how you can access/interpret and use what you've learnt. Today's graduates are being told their degree is virtually pointless without relevant experience, and often being found in a bit of catch 22, so a little work and general life experience before a qualification is, I think, a good thing.

Plus, as one of the many perpetual students out there, I'm sure my English BA certainly won't be my one and only degree! Smile
