The report buttons still don't work and think this needs to be fixed as we had issues last year as well and the button was broken then.

I reported this earlier. The report button has also been, er, reported - a number of times.
The problem is that there's no CAPTCHA - because the one which was previously in place was causing issues for some people who simply didn't understand it and so couldn't legitimately sign up. That's why the sudden influx of spam bots (they're not real people, or at least the vast majority aren't).
Best thing (and yes, I'm guilty of not doing this) is to message Admin then reply to the thread simply stating it has been reported (purely to save Colin wading through numerous reports of the same problem). No other replies to the thread would be best after the initial one.
