I know this is a little off topic but as AW asked for people to fill in the self employed/VAT section to possibly speed things up payment wise i did so only to be rejected as i do not have a VAT number as i earn way under the £83k per years thresh hold to need one...im not sure what do do? Huh

Thought this might be useful info for anyone who has just signed up to a Paxum account.

Whilst the transfers to bank accounts cannot be done at present the option to withdraw funds (I hope) wont be affected - this is how I intend to access my money.

However for those of you new to their service they do take the yearly fee out of your account when you request to have a card sent out to you ( which takes around 10 working days.)

So for me I did a test of around 30 credits a couple of months ago, this came to some $20+ or thereabouts.
I ordered the card and it put my account in minus figures due to the yearly fee being more than I had in the account.
I sent a second payment over a few weeks ago of about $70 which covered the arrears and left me in a positive balance but it was not until there were enough funds that the card was sent out.

So I just thought it was worth sharing that for those of you who have changed your bank transfers to paxum and are yet to order a card or have done and it shows it as being processed, be aware that the time it is generated until it gets to you most likely will not start until there are funds in the account to deduct from.  Bearing this in mind as well for what you may be expecting to receive will be less by $44.95 which is the yearly processing fee, despite the card itself being free.
Also it costs $2 when you make a withdrawal etc so worth bearing in mind if you are intending to borrow money from friends/family in lieu of the current circumstances and want to let them know when you can actually pay them back.

Here is a link to the fees to take note of but ultimately it is a way of receiving the previous transfer requests.
https://www.paxum.com/payment/fees.php?view=views/fees.xsl

I hope this is useful as I was quite confused when I first used the service and getting my head around what the conversion would be in order to not request the wrong ammount when withdrawing in GBP enabled me to avoid further fees for failed transactions where I might have otherwise rounded up to the next £10 when in reality it wouldn't have been available to me.

Big Grin x
